I don't think any AAA tow companies would drive up there.

They will, but they will charge you for driving on any distance that is not on a county maintained road.

I go wheeling a lot and see idiots like these on the trails and always ask myself "what in God's name convinced you that your station wagon was going to make this?"

Back in the mid 1950's, when someone was driving from the lower 48 to Alaska on the Alcan highway, somewhere along the way, they had to pass an inspection of their vehicle, have a certain amount of cash and have their headlights kinda taped up to prevent them from being broken from all flying gravel when following someone else. Folks would buy a brand new vehicle down here, drive it up to Anchorage or Fairbanks and it would look like a very well worn/used vehicle when and IF it made it to their destination.

OK today a Mitsubishi crossover towing 2 quads, haulin ass up the hill being passing cutting in being an ass.
Comes thru Pine junction where the road merges back to the right, thinks he's gonna beat a big truck that has about 100 times his HP and torque so he keeps her rolling trying to pass but trucker ain't letting up.
Guy dives into oncoming traffic, luckily no one coming puts her in the rocks and gravel on the opposite side, everyone slows down to give him and his woman the universal finger of love.
Maybe the dick will continue his weekend on a NOT ME FIRST note. ( he's a lucky fuk)

    I'm done.

well, if nothing else- your son got to see his hero (you) do another good deed-kids are smart and they can sense dumb people as well as or better than we can. I think he will log this as a scenario he learned about people from.

sorry about cutting the day short.
