I have a offer for my BMW to trade for a 2000 f250 superduty, regular cab v10 longbed, auto trans. 237,000 miles on it. I have never owned a Ford. Is it a good deal or to many miles. It runs good and yhe body is good, a little input please

I don't know what your BMW is but that is a ton of miles on a v-10. That truck is not worth very much at all. It will also suck down more gass than you can shake a stick at.
I'm not worried about the gas but the miles I was unsure, thanks

I would say way too many miles on that Ford for a decent trade...
Some views on it here.
I have a couple of customers with a V10 fords they complain it has zip for power when towing.

Take it from a former Ford tech
Stay away from the V10!!!!!!
That many miles they have issues
If the plugs havent been changed for a while be prepared for a head job!!!
there known to strip out-helicoiling works for a bit but they allways loosen up
Get a 7.3 deisel instead-best motor Ford came out with in a truck!
Best advice here.
Stay away from the V10s, they're crap even with no miles on em.
A truck, especially one that big, that isn't a diesel, is absolutely worthless and dumb. 6.0s suck, 6.4s are too expensive still to do anything fun with, 6.7s haven't been out for long enough. Look for a 7.3, best diesel engine every put in a passenger vehicle from any manufacturer. You can find em in any Powerstroke from 94-03... 94-98.5 is the old body style, 99 and up is what you want if you're looking for a Super Duty (but if you get a 99 make sure its a late-99 not an early one). 2003 was the transition year so only the early 03s have the 7.3 and they're few and far between, all the rest have 6.0s.
I'm inclined to point out though.... Ford DID NOT come out with the 7.3... there's a reason my truck has International badges on it![]()
