If you can't park your car within a foot of the curb then you don't deserve to be driving. 12 inches is a lot of room. Living downtown I park on the street sometimes. It makes it a lot tougher to parallel park when the asshole in front of you is a foot and a half off the curb. I wish the police would enforce this rule more often. It would be a great way for the city to generate a little extra income off of the retards of the community.

Should we remain calm also when the camera/film mysteriously gets lost or damaged on the way to the evidence locker? "I'm sorry your Honor, but the camera slipped out of my hand on the way down the stairs to log it in as evidence, but I assure you it only had pictures of me helping that grandma looking lady's cat off the roof for her."

And I would have no problem giving you a copy of the video with your copy of a warrant signed by a judge within jurisdiction.

Getting tired of the arrogance of police. That son a bitch should have been kicked off the force. This isn't a police state, but when a cop believes he should execute orders on civilians for essentially shits and giggles there is a major problem here.

    Default It's Obviously Police Harassment...

It's a shame on the Albany, NY police, if I was their chief I'd be so embarassed! Anybody got any follow up on this story?

Hey Breather, that stand for mouth breather.....

EDIT: Ok this one does have it, he very politely gives her a reason for her need to retreat back further or inside. Also states what she was doing/said before it was on. She was given multiple chances and again explained when they don't have to. Seems a pretty clear case of a lawful order, one that if she was so concerned about she could have always come back later on but she wanted to make a show of it and try to cash in on it. (Wailing oh what's happening and being dramatic despite a minute and a half of warnings and explanation of consequences, just like with the don't tase me bro and every other instigator.)

She in the tv interviews jumps about how she felt she had to film it because as a black driver he was automatically being profiled and that somehow her film would prove it. (Seeing as iirc the guy was arrested, I doubt it was just a bs ticket for 1 over.)

Basically she was a lighter version of the other one's that have purposely set out to pick a fight with the cops as opposed to a completely innocent bystander. (Like you could argue for the big shooting a while back where the cop was pointing his gun at pedestrians who got in their car to leave which I think was BS.)

There's an smartphone app designed to record and anonymously upload encounters. Here is both sides of that:

    http://www.yaliberty.org/posts/recor...n-app-for-that

    http://www.policeone.com/police-tech...ice-recording/

I think the phrasing on the police site pretty much sets the tone, "Cops have another thing to watch out for..." It seems to be a mindset that citizens recording police are automatically enemies that one needs to be aware of.

Clearly, a law needs to passed that recording anyone who is paid by the public, is legal to be video/audio recorded while performing their job. Hell, it should be mandatory equipment. Police already have audio mics that connect to their in-dash video system.

Most police are doing The Right Thing most of the time, just like the rest of humanity.
