I don't care who sees the feedback section. Just cause a guest might not use it doesn't mean there's any reason to limit it. And what if they want to buy something, register to do it, and because that forum wasn't visible before they don't check it now and end up having a problem with the seller?
+1 on Places to shoot though
Any word from the Admins?
How's restricting this section going to keep it private? Membership is free and open to everyone. If a guest wants to read that section they'll just become a member.
Forum Admins can set the permissions so that only certain forums are available to guests. Otherwise they are only available to registered members.
These restricted permissions can keep guests from accessing forum sections that the Admins want to keep private.
Some forums restrict access to Classifieds to members with a certain amount of posts in order to discourage forum trolls from ripping people off (ie they won't invest the time to get their post count up, they will move on to easier pickings elsewhere).

Ginsue's Feedback
All, I now for sure, is one does have to register to post here. Because every now and then, it says my password has expired, and I can't do anything until I "renew" the password.
As far as post count restrictions, I'm not sure, I haven't really run across anything like that. But, they way they word some of those things in the admin section, I'm almost paranoid to do anything for fear of having a mushroom cloud erupt from my keyboard.
So, you might have to make nice with Foxtrot.![]()

I think the main concern of "Places to Shoot" is guests viewing the forum, not posting.
I can definatly see where he is coming from. Its been shown here before and im suprised that no one has been ripped off yet. Person A. Just registers to buy or sell and person B. Is out of state but person B. Is a "member" so he goes for it and gets jacked for his cash and person A is never heard from again. Of course that same senerio can happen even ftf but thats unlikely because i know that i and most of the members here carry everywhere. I think that a 30-35 post limit would not be a bad idea. Granted i know some will just post enough to sell there item but at that point it comes down to our vet members knowing or trusting thier gut on certin deals. Now we will miss out on deals but i would rather see that then a member getting scammed. Just my $.02
