I use to use gas and propane years ago, a friend turned me on to charcoal and I have not looked back. The food taste so much better on charcoal. My two cents the only way to grill is charcoal. It is sad about the fire ban but dam, if I am watching the grill I don't see the problem. Whats the difference gas or propane if left unattended still can catch fire. I think its just common dam sense, to watch the fire and put it out when done.
Start with charcoal, then go wood, I use different woods for everything, cherry, oak, hickory, citrus, mesquite, etc.
Unfortunately nothing. Stage II fire ban in effect in Teller Co. Smokers have to smoke in their cars. Spread the word to those coming this way, I don't want my house to get torched as it almost did in Hayman.
Thank you and have a wonderful 4th.![]()
my plans include ribeyes, burgers, and grilled corn on the cob. and I agree propane is for the birds, charcoal and wood chunks are the way to go.
