SureFire M73 Rails

Anyone else looking at picking up a set of these? Hell, who has em' mounted and what are your thoughts. Worst I've heard is that some times they don't match up on the same plane as some M4 uppers.

Anyway, I've got a lead on 2 sets that are $50 below list, just want to get some feed back and see what's up.

The ones I have seen, the top rail does not line up with the upper receiver. They are well made but that alone turns me off to them.

I run a LaRue FF and an MI non-FF. If you want a two piece snap on set, the MI are hard to beat. I had some YHM's and sold them to get the MI. I'm satisfied now.

As a point of reference the first set of rails I owned was a KAC RAS. They are the best, but I couldn't afford another set. So from now on, on a budet, its MI for me.

I havent heard to many good things about KAC from the field.


I would say if the rails dont line up I wouldnt even consider them but that is my stand point. I have one with LaRue on the forend and it is great. I actually have another set on their way to put on my other rifle.

I have also handled DD and they seemed to be just as well as the LaRue.

Well this set is going on to a fixed carry handle upper so I'm not stress about alignment. But for $50 under list it's better than the Fobus handguards on there now.
