Damn bert im sorry man. I know how painfull it is and it never gets easy to make that trip. For what its worth and coming from a person that give his animals the unconditional love that they give me, you did the right thing. Its never an easy choice but its never good to have them suffer. Bert - I'm terribly sorry to hear of your loss. Some folks just can't understand that our pets, at least some of them, are more than just "animals". They are our family and our closest friends. My heart hurts so much for you right now as I know exactly what you are going through. I won't take away from your loss by telling you of my losses. They're mine and healing is ongoing.

Huey was a beautiful cat and sounds like a fun buddy to share in your life. It's hard now, but hold onto the wonderful memories you have of your time with Huey - they will become more treasured each day, week and year that passes.
