I really did not need to cry at work today. Not so much my style.
Too close to my heart with a cat, nay, Angel, that adopted me and my wife. We had to send her off a couple of years ago before the renal failure caused here to go into convulsions.
I miss her.

For those of us without kids, our animals are our kids. We name them, we feed them, we clean up after them, we talk to them, we call them, we cuddle with them. The temporary emptiness after loss is just that- temporary. Time heals all wounds. Depending on your situation, it just gives many of us the opportunity to adopt another, caring for it just as we cared for the last.
Sorry to here about your loss. We just did that same thing about a year ago. Pets are great. Got a dog and another cat to help with the grief. Both rescues.
I can't thank all again enough. Your kind words and thoughts have made the tough moments easier.

Cebu- You my friend are a Gentleman of the highest order. I have no words that can ever express our deepest gratitude for your kind act. Huey was definitley worthy of such a gesture as he was a kind and gentle soul.
I thought I could make it through yesterday without my eyes getting all hot and my vision all blurry.

Wow......I have had to live through a few of my best friends passing away. It is never easy. It almost makes me not want to get close to another animal (family member) It is unreal how much love there is! Heart breaking for sure.
My determination to not strike the first blow, but also to not stand mute and allow myself, and all that I believe in and stand for, to be trampled by men who would deprive me of my God-given, or natural right to suit my own end.
