    Default AR lowers

I tell ya Artboy, while I was waiting for my NICs check, one dealer hauled back 5 AR lowers w/in a 40minute period. He's the one that had the RRA, DoubleStar, Stag lowers along with other AR parts and acc's. I was looking for a stripped Ameetec and would have jumped on a stripped DoubleStar also but he didn't have any. ...I wish the honey dealer was there too...dangit. I hate having my coffee without fresh honey.

The guys at 5280 are stand up guys. I picked up some "tac" mods for the AK from them.

Picked up a new .45 XD for the wife today at the show, and like everyone else, my wallet is now feeling much lighter. A good investment none the less.

I also saw a couple of gentlemen that seemed a little questionable. But then again, so was I a few years ago.

Which one of you were checking out my wife???

We were there with 3 of our 5 kids. If you saw us, you couldn't have missed us, we were the only ones with a stroller, a 3 month old, a 2 year old and a 7 year old with purple hair.

Hm, might have seen a stroller... hard to remember with all the gun pr0n. I was the guy in the striped Pabst Blue Ribbon shirt - at least 3 people asked me about the beer, heh.

Those of you saying it wasn't a great show... that because of prices? Selection? Lack of free guns? I admit prices weren't AWEsome, but most of what I saw seemed fair... enlighten me.

We did get a spare mag for the pistol from "MagMan" that doesn't seem to fit, may go back tomorrow. [It's super tight with over 1" still sticking out, and I don't wanna just jam it in there.]

Hope all works out. I got 3 NIW HK33 LEO mags from him today, expensive but oh so sweet.

For me, it might of just been my mood. I didn't have enough money to spend on new guns, just some various parts here and there (e.g. mag holster, etc.). So it was probably largely that. But even then I don't think gunshows are what they used to be, hence my "yawn".

    Wife's new pistol:

Bersa Thunder .380 PPK clone, white arrow is the keyed safety. Came with a sealed, dated envelope with a test-fire casing and a trigger lock. Decocker safety, nice DA pull, white 3-dot sights (dovetailed rear sight is windage adjustable), and it has a mag safety too.

    And now... My first rifle!!

Mini-14, synthetic stock, matte stainless , picked up a Harris bipod adapter and Rock Mount 6-9" bipod, 30rd ProMag pictured (bought 2), came w/ the action padlock and 1" scope rings (and factory 5rd mag natch):

    Here's the haul:

    Need to visit range... RISING...

That's the guy that I was gonna go back and pick one up from. I guess he's a wholesaler and he just comes to the occasional show to unload extra inventory. I REALLY hope that he has more of those lowers when I go back today. My woman would have killed me if I would've just bought it without asking her but I managed to talk her into letting me get one last night. Here's hoping.

This was definately a great show. There were some really good deals. There was a pawn shop in Englewood that was clearing out a bunch of their guns so you could get some killer deals. They had a Ruger P95 for $200, an XD .40 for $300, a bunch of Mossberg 500s for $120 and Remington 870s for $150 just to name a few things. I ended up getting an almost brand new Marlin 30-30 lever action for $200 from them. I also picked up one of those Double Star lowers for $227 after tax. The guy selling the AR stuff only comes to town once a year so I'm kinda glad I jumped on that. Everyone else was selling them for over $300. I got a new shirt, too. Here are some pics.
