Default Curious to modify my XD9

I'd like some input from you guys on what work I can do to my XD9 Tactical to make it more accurate, aside from replacing the shooter.

I've never shot in a match, but would like to someday. Just wondering what you guys have done to your pistols internally and externally to make them more competitive and accurate. Thanks

there is quite a bit you can to do modify the XD series.
new barrels, sights, trigger work are pretty common modifications.

What makes you think that modifying it will make it more accurate?

EDIT: I'm concerned that this post comes across snarky. It isn't supposed to. What changes specifically, do you think will produce greater accuracy with your gun?

Honestly, the two biggest things I can think of are a trigger job and a match grade barrel.

    just my opinion though
