Default for all you shotgun shooters

went to quail run in elizabeth today to shoot some skeet, and it got completely hammered by a flash flood when we got there... turned the whole place into a gigantic river/swamp. The deepest spots had to be at least chest high (4 1/2'-5' deep) Its a shame that such a nice complex had that happen to it. I didnt have a camera (sadly) to snap pics with, so all I got were a few cell pics and videos, and I dunno how to upload them.... the whole sporting clays range, 5-stand, and the skeet field got wiped out, as well as the 3-d archery course, and all the bridges and supports for trap machines, trash cans, etc. got hit too. I guess no shotgun for a while....

in other words, quail run is FUBAR

I'm not sure how bad the machines themselves got messed up, but I would expect new batteries and clays for all of them would be in order. not to mention the time it would take to let the place dry out.

I suppose that's the problem with building along a creek (everyone does it, that's where the shade and interesting features are)

Kinda like that guy that built his house upon the sand, vs the one who built it on the rock. That sucks though, and it's really not all too common for all these flash floods and what not. Never been there though, I hear it's pretty nice, or it was...
