I don't know why people are having issues with streaming, I've gone through about 3 full TV series they have on there (what little they actually have every season of) and thus far no problems... I guess it's my blazing fast internet (thanks comcast). I don't really do the DVD method anyway (I've had one DVD since like March and fear sending it back because I'll just get another in the mail to sit and collect dust). My fix, whatever they don't have on streaming instead of waiting 2-4 days for the snail mail I just BT it, watch it, and if it's good throw it on the ol 2TB HDD or delete if I don't like it. I'd rather wait 10-20min for a movie to download than 2-4 days for the mail. Whatever, I'm switching my service to streaming only.

Also, does anyone remember that press release netflix issued a few months ago where they wanted every movie/tv show/etc to be on Watch Instantly? I think they said by July 2012 the whole database should be WI.

The selection and wait times of Netflix sucks. The streaming movies are all old. I can not complain about the quality cause it's comparable to a DVD for me.

I have it simply because I do not have time to go run out to Redbox.. I just had 2 movies sitting there on my counter for almost a month..

I plan to cancel come sept 1st.

Hmmm, company A lowballs all the competition til there is no more. Company A then raises their rates to reap the rewards. No one saw this one coming?

I guess if it's free to download on the web then it must be okay .

If you are using Netflix for streaming TV, dump it and pick up Hulu, they have more shows and better ones.

I'll be dropping the DVD service 9/1. Might drop streaming, too, since my new job gives me most of the premium Hulu services for free, and I've got streaming available from Amazon prime.

A 60% price increase is unacceptable to me.

Everyone pissed off at netflix for raising prices, you do realize it's because all the TV networks, movie studios, etc, has raised the licensing costs for Netflix streaming from 100 million to over a billion dollars in the last week, right?

Personally, I recently cancelled Hulu, because I looked through the whole list of what's available for streaming to your TV (not your computer) and barely found anything I wanted to see. Everything was computer only.

I mean, to each their own and all, but at least put the blame on the pricing increase on the people causing the problem.

As soon as I heard about the increase I changed my account to one dvd and no downloads. Never used the streaming anyway.

I go through about 2-3 movies a week so the price, convenience, selection makes it worth it still for me....though I am looking to see what other companies are out there that rent DVD's.
(Streaming does not work well for me as an option at this time, plus the selection is terrible.)

The funny thing is with the new pricing, after dropping the streaming option that I never use...I am paying less per month....go figure.

I don't know which dumb@ss analyst found out the optimum equlibrium for profit maximing, but I think it will hurt them in long run.

I think investors will be all happy to see the price side increase, so that netflix would not have too much pressure getting/gathering new subscribers.

I am gonna watch companies that does a complimentary services, and short the NFLX.

They are way over priced in terms of DVD/STREAMING RENTAL and PRICE OF A STOCK.

    What do I do?
I watch foreign movies for free online, and goto redbox dvd.
I just got into foreign movies not too long ago, and it is fun.

    gees....

All these hypes of Netflix, and their anticipation of growth makes no sense.
