I had the car at the dealer for some other work and they said the throttle body was bad, I don't remember the code it was throwing. Dealer wanted almost $800 to replace. Bought a Bosch OEM from Advanced for $130 and replaced it last night in about 20 minutes. Also recently replaced the accelerator pedal assembly. All seems good now.
P2138 perhaps? 07 A4 Quattro....mine just threw that code the other day and then cleared.

There's a Throttle Body Adaptation procedure that can sometimes fix those codes, but you need a VCDS (aka VAG com) setup. Not sure if there's another way to do it without.

I have a VCDS setup but unfortunately, I'm on the other side of the planet for you.

Thanks! It's got an 08/2018 production date, and is already fast becoming my favorite amongst a (very) modest collection...

I too find myself reaching for my Microtech more often for EDC than my other knives as well. I like the size and it performs very well for my spirited box opening duties for which it's I generally used.

Didn't have that code but had a similar one that was fixed with the new accelerator pedal assembly. The throttle body code was P1542.

If you disconnect the battery for 5-10 minutes, reconnect the battery, then turn the key to the on position for 5 minutes it will re-calibrate the pedal to the throttle body.

I had to replace my EDC this week as well. I had the damn thing for 2+ years and lost it. I remember exactly the last time I used it, so I think it ended up in an excavator I sent to ND.

Anyways, I bought a different style EDC since my lost one wasn’t available on Amazon. I received and it was a tad too big for my liking so I ended finding the same one I lost on flea bay. The Kershaw Emerson line is an outrageous deal. For -$30, I cannot believe how much knife you get. The first CQC-3K lasted 2+ years before I finally lost it and it took some abuse. I’ve never owned a top tier knife because one I’m too cheap and two, I lose them (obviously).

Let me know how you like the hollow storage area under your cheek.
Does it resonate or make the discharge sound different ?
