Thanks. Putting one together for my son who is stoked to have his own and doesn't have to use his old mans rifle length. Got a deal on it. I got the optic from a forum member, and the upper I picked up from someone off the files.
Its funny - the ak guys sell ar stuff cheaper than its worth and then the ar guys sell ak stuff for more than its worth.
I have to see what barrel it is but for a kids build it really doesn't matter.

Nice part is your son can save up money and swap parts out when ever he wants. Hats off to you for being a great dad. I built an AR for my dad about 2 years ago for his birthday.
