A Walt Longmire Special, I like it. How does it shoot?

    Has always shot great!
Thinking of checkering the front strap.
Costs the same to send it off to be done as it does to purchase the tools from Brownells.

Get the tools and the knowledge to do all the rest of your guns forever, for the cost of having someone do it for you? Decision seems simple enough.

    I have a semi-personal question.

How many firearms did you have prior to joining this forum? And how many you have now?

I like that approach to life and have lived by it, thanks in part to my father who taught me to be unafraid of digging in to new tasks. He was a can-do guy.

Many thanks to ChickNorris for resizing those photos and posting them for me! Not the first time she's offered to do that. Much appreciated!

That's an Uberti/Cimarron 1873 Deluxe Long Range Rifle, in .45 Colt, with a 30" barrel. Got it on the Marlin Owners forum for $900. Brand new condition, looks like it's never been fired, just spotless. A gorgeous rifle, glad I bought it.

Best part is, it was totally paid for by gathering brass and selling it! And it's not the only gun I've bought that way. Like picking up money off the ground.
