woke up Monday to no water in the house...had pump company come out replace the pump (friggen $1100 later)
later that day found out why the pump died... leak in the bladder and pump was running non stop (it was also 26 years old with expected life of 15 years I'm told). Pump company wanted another $750 to replace tank. I ordered it online from homedepot for $252. It should take me less than 30 minutes to change out on Saturday
so as a cross reference to the Trades thread, that's $1000 an hour to install the expansion tank (unless I'm under thinking what's involved in cutting a couple pipes re screwing in fittings and sweating a couple pipes)
