A World Without Guns <- Great Read!
Nice. I had that model for a while, lasted a year and a half or so (long time for me, I abuse my knives). I replaced it with the tanto blade version, and its getting time to replace that... need to decide which of the two I want to replace it with now.
Only negative about them is that the tips of the serrations wear/chip easily... good news is that they're easy to sharpen, and once the tips are rounded down and resharpened they last a while and still cut well. What's brought me to replace both of them is the pocket clip coming loose via the threads stripping out of the handguard.
I love it so far. It's a bit bigger than I really would have liked, but the sturdiness of the knife is very appealing. I've heard about the Veff serration tips breaking off, but I also like the easiness of sharpening this blade, better than the tanto version. The spear point blade is much better IMO. CRKT has some really good customer service though. I emailed them and metioned that I didn't receive the torx tool with my knife, and that a buddy and I ordered ours together. He promptly sent out 2 tool sets to me, they're en route right now. I think if you wrote them and mentioned how much you love the knives, explained the problem with the screws stripping out, I think they'd probably replace those side panels for you. I've had a friend with the exact same issue, and they sent him new panels, free of charge. I think he said they'd replace anything but the blade, since the knives have a lifetime warranty.
New holster from El Paso Saddlery for my Kimber 10. Wanted something with a thumb snap for "off road" carry.
