Hmmmm, have one, wouldn't own another. I'll stick with RAT (or what ever they are called this week) or Greco.

CRKT has some really good customer service though. I emailed them and metioned that I didn't receive the torx tool with my knife, and that a buddy and I ordered ours together. He promptly sent out 2 tool sets to me, they're en route right now. I think if you wrote them and mentioned how much you love the knives, explained the problem with the screws stripping out, I think they'd probably replace those side panels for you. I've had a friend with the exact same issue, and they sent him new panels, free of charge. I think he said they'd replace anything but the blade, since the knives have a lifetime warranty.
Hmm... I'll look into that side panel thing. Thanks.
I'll probably go for the drop point, that way I'll have it and the tanto blade. One for each side
I actually like the size/heft. Slimmer/lighter/smaller knives don't feel as right in my hand. I've used mine for chopping, prying, hammering, etc. and the size and weight of these definitely helps with that. The hilt nub things do their job really well too.
Oh another thing... I carry mine tip-up, with the blade opening towards the back of my pocket. That way when I grab it and pull it out and slightly back, the nub on the top of the blade catches the edge of the pocket and opens the knife... like the wave feature or whatever it is on Spydercos.

SOG makes some nice knives, but I'm not a huge fan of most of em. I carry my Trident when working with hay bales and such cause I can cut the strings without opening the blade, but I don't like it for EDC. The clip clamps down on my pocket too tight for a fast draw, the blade is too thin to pry with, and the plastic feels too brittle to hammer with. I've also got a SEAL Pup that I use as a dive/mountain knife, one of the original ones with the Japanese blade... its nice, but its really light and I like em a bit heavier.
Their multitools though, that's another story. Only multitools I'll buy. Ordering my 3rd soon, the first 2 disappeared (one to the bottom of a river, another to God-knows-where).

That's another reason I like these... they hold their edge well enough but are still fairly easy to sharpen. My SEAL Pup and D2 Ka-Bar are a pain in the ass.

Hahaha, well I like this one so far, and I'm confident it'll suit me for quite some time. I'll look into SOG, I've heard they're good.

Yeah, I want one of the ESEE 3's, and an Izula. If they made a folder with a wave feature or carson flipper - type thingy, I'd save my money and definitely buy one.

I'm loving the bigger version too. Much more solid, and mine came razor frikkin sharp. Are there any limitations (legally) to its size? Its over 3.5".

Same here, in a slightly different way though. I carry mine clipped into the waistband of my pants, tip up. When I pull it out and twist slightly outward, it opens the same way, but with the blade upside down in my hand. I prefer it that way if I ever have to use it to defend myself, not to mention I don't like it in my front pocket. Sometimes I carry it in my back pocket, but I prefer it in my waistband because it would be a lot less likely for someone else to grab it.
