Not much of a place for setting up for SHTF quite honestly. Look at the pictures of the surrounding area. Really easy to get in and out unseen.

Then take a look at the house itself. How many openings did you see on the first floor alone? Way to easy to gain entry into a house/castle with that many large openings at ground level. You would need a set of eyes at ever window and door. Or bars, but even then it would be better with slits that let in light but too small to let in people.
