I have an HTC Hero (Droid) that began restarting itself, shutting down, generally not working. Sprint tried to reset it, but that didn't work. I was still about 8 months from being able to upgrade, and I hadn't gotten the insurance they try to sell you, so I figured I was screwed and would have to pony up for a new phone at full price (and yes, I need a smart phone for work). Sprint was great. They ordered a replacement overnight and only charged me $35. Pleasantly surprised.

cell phone that I have loved up until about a week ago is going to drive me nuts!!! It's worked great since I got it, but now that I'm almost ready for an upgrade, the darn thing has been shutting down on its own - sometimes it comes back on by itself, and others I have to turn it back on, and then today my email stopped working - that only took two hours and a total reset/erasure of the phone to get corrected. My wife's phone is also starting to act up, although it's been a little tempermental for a while. It's almost like there is some kind of "upgrade" for the phones that you automatically get when you're closing in on an upgrade date that makes your phone act up so you want to spend money on a new one.
