Me and a couple of friends are going to Cripple Creek this Sunday the 20th for the rally. Anybody who want's to go for a scoot ride is welcome to come. We are going to leave early AM and come back early PM.

This is a great day ride only about 350 miles.

Well, I gotta say this, Cripple Creek is 25 miles from Woodland Park. Woodland Park is about 90 miles from downtown Denver. That's close to 115 miles. My map software says from Denver at I-25 and 6th. Ave. to Cripple Creek at the fire station is 118 miles. Round trip that's 235ish. Much better. Karl.

Thats not the senic route kind of defeats the purpose of riding staring at I-25. 67 is closed except for resident traffic so an alternate route is in order and it will be about 350 miles. [wink]

Come on 7 that is nothing it's a walk in the park. My buddy Dave went from Main to Texas 3,000 miles in 3 days. My record is the Grand Canyon and back 1550 miles in 29 hours. Once again we could have cut about 200 miles off but the senic route is always better.

The Grand Canyon trip one of my buddys was on a sporty and his wife was on the back. I think you could handle 350.

I am going to meet at my friends house since you live in Aurora we could meet you at 285 and simms. We will probably want to be on the road at 7am that way we will have time to hang out in Cripple Creek. We will be back early evening no problem say by 6-7pm at the latest.

By Thursday or Friday we will have all the details worked out and I will let you know.

Cripple Creek is gonna be a zoo this weekend....some say it will become the next Sturgess.

There will be at least 3 major gangs that are scheduled to show up, as many as 5. There was supposed to be an agreement that no-one was supposed to display colors and at least 2 disagreed, and plan to show.

Law Enforcement is supposed to be sparse and medical staff will also be stretched...they were soliciting to find volunteers and nobody responded so Cripple Creek Fire offered payed positions to finally become staffed for this weekend. Law Enforcement is not expecting much trouble in town but at night in the campgrounds expect blood shed.

If you plan to ride, you probably don't want to plan to camp out.
I say lets all remove the warning labels and let nature take its course.
