Some remote areas requiring 4x4 up Guanella pass, Boreas pass. I don't think there is a ban up that high.

Would it be feasible to get too driving a saturn wagon as far as possible and hiking the rest?

There are some great spots off of Comanche Lake Trail.

The only thing that it may not support is shooting (the hike alone would prevent that for me) and I don't know about fishing.

You can drive most of the way up to Chinn's Lake and Fall River Reservoir in a Civic and walk the rest of the way.
