need ideas for a summer carry setup

You will get used to the LCP. I carried mine in a DeSantis SuperFly pocket holster and you'd forget it was there. As light as most .25 automatics. I ran Remington Golden Sabers through it and never had a single problem. I just couldn't get used to the trigger and needed extra cash so I ended up letting it go. NEVER run +P through the LCP as it is not rated for it.

I was thinking about the Cobra derringer in 9mm at one time, but it seemed impractical to me. Heavy as a J-frame with only 2 single action shots that probably tumble out of the barrel sideways. Good idea to run snakeshot through that. Question: on the Cobra derringer, does the safety switch off automatically when you cock the hammer?

nope manual safety move but it is easy to do in the pulling motion.

I really, really fond of my Kahr PM9. Reliable, accurate, small, and packs a punch with Ranger 124g+P rounds. It is pretty snappy, but easily controlled, especially with the A-grips wrap added. I carry at 4:30 in a Galco leather clip on rig.

Baloney! Kel tec .32 or .380 is smaller and lighter. Ruger just copies kel tec and everyone thinks they are wonderful. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

I carry a lcp 380 It's the smallest lightest one out there. I use a uncle mikes size 36 in the rt front pocket. the holster is for a bigger gun but it allows me to tuck the slide part of the gun under the inside of the pocket. It is comfortable because it holds the pistol from going to the bottom of the pocket.

That sounds like an awful lot of work. Think I'll just pocket carry my 43 if I'm dressing lightly.
