tomorrow being the forth i might knock off around 2 and spend some time by the river , but left and squaw will be as planed
picked up some brass , steel ,a whole mess of shotgun hulks ,more trash and yet another tv!! .also met the pike police/ranger folks (good people )and learned a few things
was informed that one can camp at south site .
was given a map and a few more informal shooting spots pointed out .
was given a card and told to call and they might be able to help with left hand
also i told them about the forum clean up and they said thanks to everyone and that they will do what they can to help (permits, dumping, ect) !!
tomorrow starts left hand and as anyone who has ever been there knows ill need a hand . so come on down , clean up, shoot my ammo , have some fun and help shed a better light on shooters !!
as always thanks coar15 and all the members for your support

You are going way beyond by doing this.

Alex, that was one great sales pitch to recruit some help with the range clean up. Although I'm way too far South to even use those ranges, I'd still like to help with a couple items.
I'll see if I have a clean plastic bucket or two with bails/handles and may be able to find a couple of 5 gallon clean plastic water containers (drinking water type). If I can actually locate these things, then I'll hopefully remember to bring them along to the Colorado Springs gun show this coming weekend - that is if you are still interested in them. Just let me know.![]()
yes blasterbob i would appreciate those items very much .
for those that want to help via donating items , ill edit the list as items are received.
for those of you who still want to help but dont have the time or items to donate . please feel free to send a cash donation to the U.S.O. in the name of "the conscious shooters of Colorado Ar-15 .com" or something like that .
Hopefully once I get my bronco up and running with out it leaking oil all over the place that I can start going places.

I usually can't get off work to go head up to squaw pass- the closest place I live to thus the only one I really go to... I would love to go on a weekend and shoot with some of you guys and clean up and enjoy the outdoors. I'm still looking for people who do reloads that I can unload some brass to, I don't really want reloaded ammo in return, but if you're feeling generous I won't say no. I just want to help out. It's getting a lot better up there, but still some work needs to be done. I'm probably going up next weekend, I'll update which day and what time(s) as we get closer. Any one wanna join? I'm not the best cook, but I'll bring up a dozen or so PB&Js if anyone wants lunch and I have a pretty neat homemade target stand... $2.00 for 12 paper targets at walmart, great deal and I have about 5 packs of those that I'll gladly share.

ah so if you or any members have old brass and steel casings feel free to donate them to be cashed in for money and money into ammo for all coar15 members (who help with this project ) to shoot up and the end of the run . i figure we can do 2 weekend day 1 at squaw 1 at south site , maybe cook out (pot luck ) , informal swap meet , shootin contest (the winner from each site will have to have a shoot off to see who wins)
ill make a recycle thread soon .
as far as targets , i have been collecting clays that are left behind so there is no need to dish out cash
