Default Any AK variant experts out there?

I have two stamped AKs that have been languishing in my safe for so long that I am thinking hard about getting rid of them, but there are so many different variants that I don't know what to ask for them. I bought both of them during the ban, so they have thumb hole stocks, etc. Most of the examples of these two brands that I find online have pistol grip stocks, so I'm not sure how that effects values. Any input would be appreciated.

    1. Egyptian Maadi, original wood furniture with no mods and all of about 100 rounds fired. Looks exactly the same as the day I wiped off the cosmoline.

    2. "Custom" Norinco imported NHM-90, finished in one of the bake on teflon finishes (I couldn't tell you which one), a B-square scope mount and aftermarket black plastic furniture by Choate shown here

I also have a big pile of misurp mags and a couple thousand rounds of the old style laquor covered wolf ammo.

    Thanks guys!

    FWIW.

I base a purchase of an AK that has the ban era items vs. what i can buy one already in a pre / post AWB era config. There are some ban era items that hold better value (Hungarian, Bulgarian) than others however i personally see no reason paying a premium when i can get a new one for the same if not better price with out having to invest another $1-200 on it.
The Maadi will go for an average of $300 depending on what goodies are included. The Norinco NHM seems to be a slow mover across the web. You need to find the buyer looking specifically for that long bbl. YMMV
Keep in mind with all the tinkers here you can do an AK build for under $3-350. Figure out a price and contact me on the maadi

It seems to depend a lot on the buyer. I've seen people asking 4-500 on forums, but with mixed results. I think the Norinco would be more valuable if it came with the original wood stock, but both seem like nice rifles.

I'm interested in either of those if you decide to sell, behind the first individual who posted.

If you use gunbroker as a referance be advised that there prices are usualy marked up by a 100 or so.
Be sure to check the ones that actualy have bids on them as opposed to the ones with a buy now and judge accordingly.
Also I would suggest cruising the various ak forums and see what they sell for as well

Thanks for the input guys. The only confusing thing is that a Norinco set up almost identically to mine just sold on GB for $550, so I really dont know where to go from here.

If they are only worth $300 each, I think I will hold on to them. Ill send out pics and entertain offers if either of you are interested, but thats where Im at as of now.

For a while there was a Chineese craze going around last year or so.
I saw some mak 90s sell for just around $450.
But it looks like there back down in price.
I would hold onto it if your not hurting for cash.
Never know when the market goes nuts for them again, and you just might double what you paid for it.
