when cops do bad things and some people get a little overzealous in the condemnation of such acts, it tends to get locked pretty quickly and people get banned.
I believe this to be due to the site owners profession, but I cannot prove such.
I am pretty sure if he were a member of congress or Muslim allot more of us would be banned.

i dont know if the mods are in the leo field ,but there are a large amount of loes on the forum .i do know that usually when a leo thread is started it goes down hill quick . i just figure its a subject that some folks have strong feeling about . me i could care less as im not much of a rule breaker . some of the best and worst people i have met have been in the leo community ,but they are just people too. sometimes we forget that there is a person under the uniform and sometimes leos forget they are regular people under the uniform as well .
the real suck part is that there are those forum members that get a little too heated, loose composure and make us all look bad . sometimes people need to be reminded that the world is watching what we (co-ar15 members ) have to say .
