When the one "gunsmith" was just about ready to fire the Jap Arisaka, didn't he kinda indicate that he was not sure on exactly how to operate that Jap bolt action rifle?? Maybe I was just starting to doze when I just THOUGHT I heard that question.
The daughter seems like she'd be much better off just polishing someone's toenails or baking a cake.

I'm glad I wasn't hearing things... "Dur how does a bolt action rifle work?" Really? These guys are supposed to be famous smiths?
Side note, I do find Stephanie kinda attractive... if she were to see an orthodontist and not where so much makeup she'd actually be bangable. And since her dad is such a military loving man (and patriot) I might actually have a chance!

Stephanie: ick. That snaggletooth and her manner of speaking put me off (sounds like a southern valley girl). I watched last season and thought they did some interesting stuff, but this season with the Tri-M16 and the AK sniper and now teaming up with the other bunch of has-been-reality-tv-think-they-are-big-celebrities bunch of idiots from American Chopper - forget it, I'm done. The only thing I like about the show is how Will dotes on that snaggletooth daughter - it's apparent that he really loves her and would do anything for her and that always is touching to watch - but not so much so that I'll tune in after this last episode.

I do hate how they've been acting lately, like the celeb status is going to their heads. Soon it'll be another crap reality show like American Chopper (if it's not there already)... glad to see shows like Dual Survival and Man Vs. Wild are staying pretty real and not getting a "celebrity ego trip"... and then Swamp People, well they just don't give a s***, they get their gators and do what they gotta do.

ETA: The 1000 yd ak is retarded. The AK round (x39) can't even go that far. No matter the barrel or tolerences. But the weird part is that they must not have heard of the Dragonov? I would like an AK that is a tack driver at 300 yds with the same reliability as the AK is known for. I still watch though but I'm getting tired of the stupid shit too.

Still, .308 isn't exactly an optimum "1000 yd" round. Would have been better to start with a 7.62x54 AK and then rechamber it in something like .338 WinMag (I think Lapua would be too long to fit the action).

Of course back in the day .303 British dominated 1000meter competition.

Oh great you spoiled it for me. While I think the .50 cal is like the AK I would like to see an AK built to shoot a .50 of any flavor.

I think that a lot more of this season is scripted. I am sure it was last season too but it is more obvious this season.

Man vs Wild????!!!! that guy is an absolute joke. He doesnt "survive" at all, as a matter of fact after getting caught a couple years ago they had to put that disclaimer at the beginning. And he does the whole celeb thing as well. Furthermore doing things he does in a real survival situation would be a sure way to get injured and die slowly in the middle of nowhere. Survivor Man was the only real survival show, 1 dude by himself actually surviving and having to film himself doing it.
As far as the daughter on Sons, NASTY. Her mannerisms and way of speaking totally turn me off, plus she is a snaggletooth, plus her dads a douche. END RANT.

I watched a few episodes last season. I was at MicroCenter one day a few weeks ago and the guys in the tv room were crowded around the TV talking about how cool that little box gun was. I told them it was a rip off of Magpul, and a crappy one at that.
