I read this and have to wonder if some of you have changed your position on legalizing drugs?
The post here about her being someone's little girl and drugs being a bad thing, wouldn't it change your position if it was your little girl? Would you still think legalizing them is a good idea?
I know, you’re going to say, if they want it bad enough they will get it and if you are a junkie you will do whatever you have to get it. Your right, but should we make it so accessible?
But I have to think this falls in line with being against the death penalty until it happens to your little girl....

I don't see how I can really respond to that. Drugs are illegal, and Amy Winehouse OD'd (I suspect) in plain view of millions of people. What would change with the legalization of drugs?

Not surprised, you write a song that goes "They want me to go to rehab, I say no...no..no."
    C'mon, really?
Too many singers out there advocating illicit use of drugs (Eminem, Lil Wayne, Pop singer of the month, etc.) and teaching our children how to live the "rockstar" life. Hence why I like bands like the Foo Fighters, do they sing about heroin and what rockstar sh*t they do? No.
If you legalize drugs that just de-criminalizes the users. I don't pick a side of the fence on the issue of all-drug legalization because it's too convoluted. Legalize things like weed, LSD, peyote and MDMA (listed by several well respected scientific groups as the least harmful illegal substances), but keep heroin, cocaine, crack, etc. illegal and maybe you can regulate a little better.
So the question is, who's next? Lindsey Lohan? The Olsen Twins? Ke$ha (alcohol poisoning being most likely)? Gaga? Justin Beiber (wishful thinking)?

Think about how many millions of people idolized Jerry Garcia, and what a druggie he was. There's been a lot of lives ruined because they wanted to be like their idol, and a lot of people actually believe the lyrics of their favorite songs are truth and really mean something.

I hope my little girl doesn't do drugs, dances on a pole or dates abusive guys. If anything like that or worse happens... well I failed as a father. It should be added to the man law book that a guys one job for their daughters is to keep them off the stripper poles.
