Default I'm Not A Ruger Fan....

.....but I picked up a Ruger Sp101 .357 with a 2 inch barrel. That sucker is a shooter!! I got it from a member here and he said it had a trigger job. I will be keeping this one for a while. I have owned Ruger M77's, 22 pistols, 10/22's, mini 14's and mini 30's but this is my first revolver. I'm not sure how much the trigger job helped it but I'm glad I bought it.

They are stout to be sure and Ruger has a great warranty.
Nice thing-if you have a Blackhawk in the glovebox and get a flat you always have a jack handle.

Now that I'm thinking about it, I have owned a Blackhawk 45LC before. The single action was not my cup of tea. It was a good shooter though. I had Roadside assitance so I never found out what kind of jack handle it was!

I love the Ruger revolvers. Pistol whipping someone with one of those is just so much more satisfying than hitting them with a Glock.

They are stout wheelguns, but imho the SP101 is too heavy for daily concealed carry, and that's what they were made for. A much better and more comfortable sixgun along those lines is an older parkarized Colt Agent. Granted the Agent is a .38, but most of us (I think) would load the SP101 with .38 +Ps anyway and not shoot it that often. Comfort is the key in a carry gun, imho- or you won't take it with you.
