Default Loose front sight on ak

I was out with my Polish Tantal 74 just shooting away. Really accurate rifle but at the end of the day the rounds were off. I checked the front sight and noticed the windage pin thingy was loose. Any way to hold it down? locktite?

If it were me I would remove the front sight post and remove the windage pin thingy and use a hammer to flare both ends of it so when it goes back in it will be tight.

You could also use a automatic center punch and punch a crap load of divits in it as well and that should work.

Or if your real fancy you can knurl it and that should hold well.

Correction..... I would use a center punch and make a bunch of divits in it. I used this technique on fitting some barrel parts on AKs that were real loose. It holds them real good or at least until you drill the pin holes to hold it to the barrel.

Center punch divots will work just make sure they are evenly spaced, also you could probably knurl the windage drum with a pipe cutter. Either way would probably be better than locktight

I'll be in the springs. But if you get any free time I'd really appreciate it. I'll give you some ammo or something.

We'll figure something out, there's a small chance I can swing over tomorrow. By the way in your cool gun picture on the wasr thread did I see a hi-power in there by chance? If so or if you know them I might have to pick your brain
