    If you are out of work or make very little money (25K a year?) you can qualify for that program. OP.... there is no shame in getting healthcare for yourself. As to the woman you were talking about. Yeah it sucks...... but the only way to fix that is to amend the constitution. So get workin on that. I'll be sure to add my own ideas for fixes too

    I've been doing research the last two days on subsidized health care. I wish I did qualify as I make very little money right now. I don't qualify, you either have to be homeless or a very poor woman with children. Males with a job need not apply. Total BS

    Website says the following:
    The Colorado Indigent Care Program (CICP) provides funding to clinics and hospitals so that medical services can be provided at a discount to Colorado residents that meet the eligibility requirements for the CICP. However, the CICP is not a health insurance program.

    Eligibility Requirements

    To be eligible for discounted services under the CICP, an applicant must meet the following requirements:
    1. Must be a Colorado resident or migrant farm worker and a U.S. citizen or legal immigrant;
    2. Must have income and resources combined at or below 250% of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL); and
    3. Cannot be eligible for the Medicaid Program or Child Health Plan Plus (CHP+).

    How can a person apply for this program?

    Applications must be completed by a clinic or hospital that is participating in the CICP. The applicant or responsible party must sign the application within 90 days of the date of service.

    Apply anyway... go down to Denver General and talk to a counselor. You'd be surprised. But yeah if you are not poor its hard. You don't need to be homeless. I know a few people who got it. One who was a contractor before but his liver is failing so he can barely work. Still has a house still earns a paycheck but if not for roommates he would be fucked.

    I Fully endorse legal immigration. That shit isn't easy. It offers no handouts. Not even a food stamp. Not eligible.
    My Wife immigrated here from the rich and wonderfully prosperous country of the Philippines.( Because you know 60% unemployment is so much better.) I met her while stationed in Kuwait where she was making a whopping 240 bucks a month. We married and now she is here working at a gas station on her feet for 40+ hours a week at $8/hr. The woman has worked the entire time I've known her.

    Most legal immigrants have better work ethics than the entitlement Generation citizens I know.

    Actually here is how she skirted the system. Child born in the US is a US citizen. She is the childs legal guardian. Which makes her a resident of this state. Citizenship is not required to be a resident.

    Fix the 14th.

    P.S. I agree with Byte Strike.

    Don't get me wrong, I agree with legal immigartion and thats the way it should work.
    I was simply trying to make the point, they left their country for a reason. I am sure it was to better their lives, more so than in their own country. It's what we stand for.
