    Change it so that just because you're born here doesn't make you a citizen... if your parents are citizens and then have a child, great! Happens everyday and no one cares.
    I'd also make it so that you live and work here you have 5 years to learn English, and that's upon arriving (legally). I even would say take the funding from stupid pointless programs (like eliminate the IRS) and use some of the savings for funding to even have state sponsored English training so we can have a productive workforce, and then we can all be rid of that stupid "Press 2 for Spanish" bullshit. Do you think the Germans have a "Press 2 for French" when you call somewhere? Hell no! Why do we pander to those who come to OUR country but don't abide by OUR way of doing things. And no one better bring up that libtard crap that "America technically doesn't have an official language," because we do, read our Constitution, Road Signs, and Laws! Take out a $1 bill and tell me, besides the "Annuit Coeptis Novus Ordo Seclorum" on the great seal is there anything not in English?

    hopefully soon enough Colorado will follow the lead of Vermont and have a state run single payer system in place that covers all their state residents.

    Now to add to that, Vermont has some of the most lax regulations on firearms in the nation too.

But still, now I'm doing better at like $24k/year and I've got a $30,000 car that I'm comfortably paying off on top of my gun hobby. My biggest gripe is social security because I know 100% that money is gone, it wont be there when I retire.

    CICP by the way, is only supposed to be good for a year I was told. I did end up on it during a lapse in health insurance when I had a really bad infection in my knuckle. Because of my income the discount was minor, really mainly cut the ER portion down.

    If the guy you are slagging had a bill that cost him so much that he would end up losing his house, why is it a bad thing keeping him in his house paying local taxes rather than forcing him into bankruptcy thus onto Welfare too.

    Justsayin...... there are other facets to the issue.

    If... when... what if... all these hypotheticals are getting a little ridiculous. Did the OP say it was a guy with bills that cost more than a house? No, it was a family with a sniffle that was "undocumented" "residents." It's not a poor innocent guy who is a decent tax paying citizen, it's undocumented illegals that are abusing systems that shouldn't apply to them. Broken, in need of fixing. I'm tired of my tax dollars not going to US Citizens but instead to aid illegals who refuse to pay taxes, leech off of our faulty systems, and then commit crimes against us and live off the system. If I had my way I'd say ship 'em home and if they come back shoot on sight. We're bleeding bad here and it seems like no one is stepping up to bandage the wound [that is our porous border].

    My assumption is the guy is a US citizen like you and me. We all will get sick someday. People should not loose everything they ever worked for because of illness. It's not right...

    As to the illegals issue. Fix the 14th. Just make sure you add that it only applies to LIVING HUMAN citizens too.

    You took two parts of my post out of context. One was "when the system fails" meaning that when we go to the point of anarchy and the process of rebuilding a better and stronger America, IF ultranationalists went around killing those that aren't here legally (before the collapse) I wouldn't be against them. Then I stated how my anger almost- keyword almost- got away from me because some guy claimed he had a RIGHT to be here.... I find that everyone can have a right to be here, but there are systems and channels in place they must follow first, then they can live here all they want, when they're legal US Citizens paying income tax, speaking English, and their money spent is feeding back into our economy.

    I understand the frustration around illegal immigration and sending money back home. It's leeching off our economy at every possible point. My mom is a naturalized citizen, as well as my fiance's entire family. They've done it right. I also know some illegals, and I know how hard it is for them to even get the process started. Many of them are saving up for it, and/or have their names on a waiting list already. I know of a few others who are nothing but a detriment to our country and society.

    That's the first part of the first paragraph of the fourteenth amendment.

    I've heard some pretty smart people argue that if someone is here illegally, they aren't necessarily subject to the jurisdiction thereof (simply because they're here illegally and should be deported). Therefore, the 14th doesn't apply.

    I'm not an attorney am sure there are smart people on both sides of this issue. But I'm not completely sure the 14th needs to be changed to fix this issue.
