Here's a good story:

The wife and I went down to apply for financial aid so my wife could go back to school. After the "testing" the financial advisor says we make too much money and my wife would have to be a single mother to get approved for anything. Ok whatever! Then there's this illegal alien in the same room and i heard her advisor say she was approved for $3500 a semester but needed to see CO ID. Then the illegal says she has no documentation as she just got here...her advisor says, "okay we'll deal with that later, here's your first check". WTF. Oh and this lady was early-mid 40's so I would guess she's using "school" money to buy other shit or send home. I really can't stand it anymore....it's never about us it's always about them now

Because it is a hell of allot better than where they come from!
So why change it to what you had? Leave it alone, speak english, get a cad and get a job or go back to your own country!

If you are out of work or make very little money (25K a year?) you can qualify for that program. OP.... there is no shame in getting healthcare for yourself. As to the woman you were talking about. Yeah it sucks...... but the only way to fix that is to amend the constitution. So get workin on that. I'll be sure to add my own ideas for fixes too

I've been doing research the last two days on subsidized health care. I wish I did qualify as I make very little money right now. I don't qualify, you either have to be homeless or a very poor woman with children. Males with a job need not apply. Total BS

Apply anyway... go down to Denver General and talk to a counselor. You'd be surprised. But yeah if you are not poor its hard. You don't need to be homeless. I know a few people who got it. One who was a contractor before but his liver is failing so he can barely work. Still has a house still earns a paycheck but if not for roommates he would be fucked.
