Thats the one thing I really like about this board, we can all exercise our 1st Amendment right without someone calling another some name... AND alot of the posts have been informative.

I think Jake's opposition to IKEA is obvious, its going to impact his sales. I think its funny if Jake uses the argument that all the furniture at IKEA is foreign made, well a large majority of his furniture is also foreign made.
And while Jake does employ alot of coloradoans from what I know from 2 friends that have either worked for him or still do, he's not exactly the most generous boss who doesn't cut corners when it comes to employee benefits. Now I understand, he's in it to make money and people can choose where they work...
As stated in an earlier post, IKEA generated much needed jobs and will increase tax revenue for the county and state.
Personally, having lived in L.A. where there were several IKEAs, I never saw it as a big deal, just another furniture store targeting the contemporary furnishing type of people at a low price. The quality is what you wold expect for what you pay. Not cheapo but not high-end either.
