Frankly IKEA can go fuck themselves. I'm siding with ol' Jake Jabs on this one. IKEA is all foreign manufactured and owned by a company that is a non-profit. They pay no taxes in the United States. They sell mainly to pretentious women like my sister in law. No offense to you guys buying from em it's just not for me. I'm spending my money where I hope it stays here. Once again no offense and hope you find some rocking deals.
Around 25 years ago I bought some IKEA stuff, including bookcases that have been overstuffed since I put them together. They're still not swayback.
When I get a chance I'll go down and visit. In the past, IKEA has carried affordable and interesting kitchen stuff and bed linens. Plus, I love me some lingonberries.
Got to be all liberal idiots waiting in line looking like fools.
You have to admit this is great marketing. When I drove by there were 100's of people milling around. It's a store but they're making it seem like a religious event.

No just no, but FAWK NO! Been driving past there the last couple days and laughing at the losers camped out. Camping out for the opening of a furniture store? Dumbasses. Just went by there and there was a HUGE herd of idiots waiting for the doors to open. For pre-fabricated furniture in boxes that you have to assemble yourself? Bah.
Fixed.
Yes, the first whatever # get free furniture (livingroom sofas, etc)
the number is in the hundreds
So yeah, I guess if you were part of the estimated 14% of the states actual unemployed and were furniture poor or going to resell it and feed the kids, its a good idea.
Look at it this way, you could even resell the tent you slept in!

I did a consulting job for afw back in 2001 and most of their stuff is made I'm sweat shop in Vietnam... A "Chinese antique" they sold for 900$ had a west port delivery price of 92$... I think competition is good for business. Ikea hired local people and will bring sales tax to the local economy. Considering that most US based large corporation don't pay tax here anyway... But that's a tax code revision problem...
I want a 69$ chair. The same one is 200$ @Scandinavian design
