How does one become qualified by the NRA in something like Basic Pistol Courses or CCW?

You have to go through an NRA Instructors course.

Most Instructors charge $200-300 for the 8 hr course.

I did it about 6 years ago with George Wright in Denver.

Forever, unless you let it expire.

200-300 for an 8 hour course to be qualified to teach forever? Not too bad!

Do I have to take different CCW classes in different states?

You need to pay every year to keep your credentials. I've been able to pay 3 years at a time recently. The more disciplines you have the more they charge.
They also ask for a student number report so they can kind of have an idea what Instructors are doing and how many students are taking courses.

I honestly don't recall how much it cost me last time. I have 6 disciplines to pay for. Check on the NRA web site because I understand from my Training Counselor that there's been some recent changes.
