If the IDF spots individuals sneaking across certain borders at night they will shoot them, but that does not apply to all borders and you are correct that they do have a lenient and liberal immigration policy.

I think that if Border Patrol agents spot people sneaking across our borders at night, they also should be permitted to shoot them. If you want to live here illegally get a visa like everyone else and go through the checkpoint. I am a lot more tolerant of folks who overstay visas than folks who swim the Rio Grande at night or try to pack a hundred people in a Conex container and sneak them in on a truck. If you ARRIVE legally that is a lot different -- as long as you speak English and get a real license plate.

I got a high five from my boss who said "Damn I'm glad we finally have someone here with a backbone and a good work ethic." The kid had it coming, the only reason he's been getting away with his bullshit is because his other supervisor is afraid of confrontation or something.
The company has money and needs work done... he needs money, and is willing to do the work (nobody is forcing him to work there). He won't get paid for doing nothing, if he wants money he needs to earn it, and do so without being disrespectful to other employees, supervisors, managers, and customers. He isn't holding up his end of that bargain, and I made sure he understood that. If this is considered being a hardass... our society is more fucked than I thought.

Well, it depends what kind of work you're in. If you're working in an office or something, going on a rant about what "real" work is, might just make your higher ups think that the job isn't a good fit for you. If you're doing anything else, you'll probably just get a raise.

I've been working on just keeping my mouth shut and working my ass off at work. It's hard to do sometimes given that there are some morons I work with, but it's been getting me good results so far.

That was pretty pointless and TOTALLY missed the point of what was said, but that's what most do when they don't have a logical inteligent response. BTW-Native, as in had residence and a way of life set up, as in didn't sail over, mass murder, and inforce a way of life. Again all besides the actual point of the post. There were multiple incidents of mass murder against indians, but most were killed from the diseases that europeans brought with them. Light estimates are in the range of 6 million.

The difference is who was here first. If nobody was here and they show up to claim the territory, then its yours. What europeans did to possess land afterward is even better documented than the deaths. Hell, the first property cases on the continent are indian land rights cases by Marshall. The case rulings are also rife with rewriting history and legal fiction.
