As to the business owner.... don't I hear all that stuff about the rights of the business to serve who they please?

Yes, and nobody here is advocating making it illegal for a business owner to refuse us service.

HOWEVER, the primary function of ANY business is to make money ... if we can convince the guy that he's going to lose more money with a "no guns" policy than without than maybe he'll come around to our way of thinking.

That's why you need to write a letter to any business you plan on boycotting. Politely and professionally tell them exactly why they are losing your business (and if possible include receipts showing how much you spent with them in the past).

Don't couch your argument in "I KNOW MAH RIGHTS!" or "YOU HATE TEH CONSTITUTION YA COMMIE!" instead appeal to logic and reason (because frankly I believe that logic and reason are on OUR side here ... an armed society IS a polite society and we can generally prove it scientifically).

Someone post the name and number of the gas station so we can call and tell the manager/owner that we will no longer give our business to a gas station that thinks they somehow have power over the 2nd amendment.

So yeah... it was probably me in there lol. I walked into the 7-11 on 7th and main, with my friend; I, open carrying my duty Glock 17. I work armed and unarmed security for U.S. Security Associates, affiliation aside. I just walked to the gas station to grab a drink and some smokes, bought my product, was not asked to leave. it was next to the chestnut apartments on 7th where i was pulled over by an officer, who question my reason for open carrying. aside from that i haven't seen anything about not bringing firearms into the store, will check tomorrow
i don't know if there were multiple incidents of people open carrying, but i haven't seen anyone else doing as much so i can only assume it was me.

Wow thats a different deal, the store I originally psted about is at hwy 257 and eastman parkway (not sure what it is). So 2 of the what 6 gas stations are funny?

The Far side of windsor where Water Valley rests is quite, how can i say this politely, self entitled to a certain higher prowess regarding law. In short, my experience has been that they are generally pretentious. so i can definitely see that happening off 257 than in the center of town(seems kind of backwards right?)

My fiance works at the station on 7th and Main. She informed me that open carry in the store is generally not allowed. I think there are acceptions for LEO's and security. She said she would check on the company policy to make sure. I'm just speculating for now.

WTF? The correct answer is :Because it's my legal right. If there is no specific law restricting open carry, then it is implicitly allowed. If I was in a feisty mood, I might have asked the officer to produce the code section under which he had stopped me, assuming I wasn't doing anything out of the ordinary with my driving.
