Diesel trucks that smoke like a coal train are very annoying. A properly tuned diesel should only smoke on initial acceleration. Other than that, it is just wasting fuel. And if you have a newer diesel with a particulate filter, it clogs them up.

Scooters are just plain annoying. Some of those people think that bicycle rules apply to them also. Move over for the real drivers.

    That's because they do.

I see a lot of scooters in the Highlands area. I think a scooter would be fun, but I can't really see a situation where it would be beneficial. I could see myself delivering pizza on a scooter, but my area is kind of large, and I'd really need a scooter large enough to be classified as a motorcycle.

30mph is TOO slow for any street. Those bicycle scooters should be able to do at least 45 mph. The other night, I saw some asshole kids riding a scooter. They were assholes because the scooter had some super loud after market muffler and the driver was driving VERY slow, revving the hell out of it. Until I actually saw it, I was thinking, "What kind of assclown is running a chainsaw at 11:00pm?" Know why he was driving so slow and revving it so much? Because there were 4 people on it. The driver and four girls. I was hoping they tipped over sideways. He was going so slow that they really could have just walked.

I believe that anything with an engine or motor needs to follow motor vehicle laws.

Looks like you'll have to take that up with the state then. That's why those scooters are so slow, because under a certain engine size, they get to be classified as a bicycle. No driver's license/motorcycle license required, no registration, no insurance, and can park at bike racks.

I'm not gonna start my own little crusade on that issue. Not worth my time. It is just my belief. Also, some municipalities don't allow scooters under a certain size to be used as transportation on public roads. For example, 49cc or smaller. Which also happens to be the limit for licensing.

Yeah, that's the limit I'm talking about, but I thought they could be used on roads, just not highways. Like I was saying, I think those scooters are too slow to be safe. I see people riding those tiny things and blocking up traffic. I wouldn't do that for my own safety. They need to be able to do at least 45 mph. But then it'd be too hard to give them bicycle rules. I think I'd just buy a motorcycle.

    1. I dont understand why all the country road pedal pushers feel the need to relieve them selves of all internal matter on my private property. would it be o.k. if I relieved the pressure on my weapon thier way.
2.I dont undertand why the same group that craps on my property gets pissed when they ride 4-5 wide in the road and I get closer than they like when I have to pass them. I have nothing against bikers, but give me the same respect you would like to get.
    3. I dont understand people like Gore who get Nobel Peace prize or similar awards for Green House emission studies, but then will jump into his corporate Lear jet (lots of ozone killing gasses to haul one guy around) to run off and talk to a group about how good he is, when he could have flown like the rest of us or hitched a ride on a bus.
    4. I dont understand Obama, what a embarrasement to this country.
    5. I dont understand any of the political bull shit this country is undergoing, scarry!
