Default Thief robs store with syringe filled with "AIDS-infected blood"

    You guys hear about this?

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...ted-blood.html

Police are searching for a man they say robbed a cupcake store armed with a syringe which he said was filled with 'AIDS-infected blood'.

The robbery happened at Gigi’s Cupcakes in Denver after a man who had been pan-handling outside moments before entered and told the clerk he would 'stick' a customer with the needle if she didn't open the cash register.

The thief got away with $300.
My question is, would you shoot?

I frequent that area fairly often for Moe's bagels and Yogurtland, it creeped me out.

now you asking if you would kill the guy or just wound him? i'd shoot in a lot of cases, but not to kill. shot to the pelvis just above the ding dong will drop anyone, period.

I would probably draw down on him...if he threatened myself or someone I care about, no question about two rounds in COM.

Here we go again...that's a good way to end up in jail even if it was justified.

If you think he wasn't a threat enough, you're going to be in shit.

i know, it would be better to kill someone than to injure them. i know how this country is.

and well it depends on the state also. some have laws in which if you hurt someone trying to defend yourself, they can't press charges on you, neither can their family.

What if he was threatening to stab your dog? What if he threatened to stab an illegal Mexican? What if he threatened to stab the Rare Earth Metal market bubble?

Too many alternatives. I'd just pull my shirt up over my head and hum Amazing Grace as loud as I could until the situation resolved itself.

I would draw and if he still came at me I'd fire, no question about it.
A syringe in itself can be a deadly weapon, and when loaded with a disease we aren't capable of curing it only adds to it.
I don't care if he's bluffing about it... a guy that comes up to me at the ATM at night and sticks two fingers in my back claiming to have a gun is going to get the same treatment as somebody that actually does have one.

ETA: Oh, and if I made the decision to fire, I would be firing into him till he hit the ground or my mag goes dry. None of this "a shot in the pelvis to stop him" pussy bullchit. You decide to use deadly force to stop a threat, you'd better make sure you're deadly in doing so. If the problem could be solved by less-than-lethal means, you shouldn't have fired your gun period.
