Ginsue's Feedback
Just happened to take my boy shooting on the 29th, there was a notice posted. There are 3 areas, all always TRASHED! 1st is about 1 3/4 mile south of Wellington lake turn-off on west side, it's a 25yrd handgun range, though most activity involves hi-po rifles and shotguns (I've even had A-holes shoot ACROSS (not down) range, towards us to increase yardage). There are two more areas across from one-another an additional 3/4 mile south, west side has 100+ yrd. uphill range (if you need second-hand couch, or satellite dish, come here), east side 50-70yrd. with downed "plinking" logs (that was the 30th clean-up area). As always, we go in with a pack of paper targets and a box of garbage bags, and leave needing to use the side view mirrors because rear view is blocked by garbage (convenience store manager in Buffalo Creek should unlock dumpster for you if informed as to where trash came from). If you want to be around a bunch of ungrateful young punk litterbugs who have no concern for safety, these are the perfect areas (opinion based upon 10+ visits). It's a 160 mile round trip for us, and Saturday(the 30th) is youth league baseball day, as to why we didn't return next day to aid.
The flies are horrible up there right now(horse/deer/house). Does anybody have any tricks/suggestions to keep @ bay? Deet doesn't seem to help at all.![]()
