I've got a friend that reloads ... when a mutual friend (who was a shooter) passed, he helped load shotgun shells with his ashes and several of the guys spent the afternoon shooting doves with the loads.

Knowing this guy I have to say that there was no more fitting a tribute.

That was the plans. There was even a contest for cannoneers to see who would get to do it. Then his Hollywood friends stepped in and it was just a a big pyrotechnic device.

I've done canister shot with my cannon. I could probably manage a pound or so at a time. The tubes I use can hold about 90 rounds of .50 caliber lead ball. I'd be happy to volunteer to help providing it was done respectfully..

When I get my Willys done I'm gonna scout out a nice, scenic spot in the mountains and write down the GPS coordinates. That's where I want my ashes scattered. Then y'all can come hang out and drink a beer with me, maybe fire a salute.

I have already made the necessary arrangements over twenty years ago to have my ashes shot out of one of my black powder mortars or a cannon. A mortar is already packed away in a large ammo box accompanied by fuse, a proper prepackaged amount of black powder, a canister to hold a handful of ashes, even the matches to lite me up. The ammo box also contains step-by-step instructions in case the shooter gets kinda confused on what the proper firing sequence should be. I have already arranged so that the person firing the mortar will be keeping it for him/herself IF they want it. Now, they will just have to be patient and wait till I "croak".

NO, I don't need any volunteers from the ColoradoAR-15 membership.

this sounds pretty darn cool, but $1250 for a case of shotgun ammo? seems a little more cost effective to load em
yourself, and buy a plaque from a trophy shop or something
