Just to bring up something.... how many people do you think adopt from your pet place that are liberals. I am sure many. I am sure you are just as grateful to them as you would be to a conservative. So give it a rest.

I don't get on here calling all conservatives goose stepping evil people.

I hear what you're saying but disagree. Besides...I can always use a libertarian for that purpose. I don't need liberals/liberalism for anything. Period.

Doesn't have anything to do with being fast. It has everything to do with I'm multi-tasking and not glued to the site waiting for someone to respond.

And, yes, I'm grateful for everyone that adopts an animal and cares for it. That doesn't mean I have to agree with their politics.

You've used every opportunity to post your liberal leanings on this website. It's obvious you wear your political leanings as a badge of honor...just as I do my conservative ideology. So you take your "give it a rest" advice and stick it where ever you choose.

And last I checked, no one accused you of name calling in this thread. So, while I'm assuming you have a point I'm just not sure what it is.

Why do I need to have an open mind to liberal ideology? And, yes, I'm pretty familiar with American history.

Classical liberalism I can generally tolerate and respect. Modern/social/neo liberalism is where I part ways.

Bailey the only reason I told you to give it a rest was your rantings that all liberals are evil and liberalism is trying to destroy the country. Its going a little too far and sounds like the same words the goose steppers used at one time for the justification for gassing commies, jews and many others.

I don't stop anyone from posting their views nor do I impune them. But don't try to say that I hate my country because you think I am a liberal.

No. Neither is "reaching across the aisle" or "working together to forge a compromise" or any number of additional liberal bullshit platitudes.

Liberalism is destroying America. It should be illegal.

Talk like that is just BS period.

There you have it. Freedom to express your opinions in action.

But, to be fair, I didn't say liberals/liberalism was "trying" to destroy America.

Nynco, one thing to understand is that to conservatives like myself (and BG), you ARE a liberal, even if you aren't. Just the same way as true liberals see the New York Times or Washington Post being conservative because they are far left of the papers point of view. I know you explain yourself as a libertarian and I accept that, but to someone as far right as me, you are liberal in your views. I accept that I'm a whacko right winger, call me what you will, but to me your views are liberal more than libertarian (and, yes, I understand the difference) - just know it's more perception than anything. And please don't get into a debate on my own perceptions, OK, just know that I see you differently than you see yourself - and that's not a bad thing. Also note that I've referred to you as a libertarian since you made that statement, as I respect YOUR self perception as well.

    Your still a Nynco-m-poop though.

I would say my political views are all over the place depending on the issue. I would rather work to find common ground and real world solutions rather than ideological dead ends.

I would never want the gov to produce my TV, my shoes or my car or things like that.

But I do think the gov has a roll providing my sewer, water, roads, power grid and a few other things so all business can play on a level playing field so that innovation and the free market can work rather than monopolies manipulating those core societal needs.
