+1,000,000! You took what was in my head and put it to words! The same thing goes for those LoDo beatings that were discussed a few weeks ago: "The perpetrators were black and beating up white people. A couple times racial slurs were used, but Denver Police believe that these incidents aren't racially motivated." Bullshit. If my white friends and I went around beating up black men calling them racial slurs, believe me I'd be charged with a hate crime (another stupid asinine PC, affirmative action BS legislative practice) and labeled a racist. No one anymore understands that the door of racism swings both ways.

Oh, Ronin, you are so naive my friend. Don't you know that it is impossible to be racist unless you are white? I have friends, very good friends, of many differing races, beliefs and backgrounds, yet one "tar baby" comment would put them all at unease because I, the white guy said it. The minute my non white nor non black friends throw out the N word (and I refuse to type the rest of that out on a family friendly site) it's totally cool - which is to say that white is the only race not allowed to use that word without sounding racist. It's a double standard and it's not going away soon (because if we try, guess what, we're a bunch of racists!). I'm in a race considered racist, a party considered racist - it's an uphill battle.

Or get into college. Are you a women? If yes then there is a scholarship superficially for that and you get an extra point on your application. Are you of any race other than "white"? If so, there is a scholarship specifically for that and you get an extra point on your application.

And the first thing they show you in freshman orientation...a pie chart showing the different percentages of races at the school. How the F is that not segregation? Only when they take the "race" box off the application will we even have a chance of being treated equally on our merits and not our skin.

Private scholarships based on race are fine. Scholarships based on race for public funds or institutions should not happen. I feel we should fix the source of the disparity at a lower level. Meaning fix public schools to help all students and not base them so much on local tax revenue systems. Bandaids over the root problem only serves to let the wound fester.

Is that right Barrack? So reverse racism is fine if it's privatized? I see anything based solely on race as wrong, from not hiring someone because of race to hiring someone because of race. It's wrong, it's un-American, and it goes against everything I was raised on. My father always told me "Best man gets the job." But according to you it's best skin color gets the scholarship.
