Always lurking (looking for deals to buy), but not posting much anymore. Too many people want to argue and fight over things they have no knowledge of. Wears on me.

oneguy: can you please take your logic out of this thread? We all know the internet is no place for logic.

Um, unless Denver lets Grand Junction use their plane all the time, you're wrong, because Junction has a bird also.

Interesting. Are you are referring to a helicopter or a fixed wing plane? My buddy in the Mesa County S.O. (patrol sergeant) says there isn't a municipal helicopter operating there and a search of their website doesn't show a helicopter anywhere, to include their budgetary items.

In a simple Google search, I wasn't able to find any articles concerning a police helicopter, but did find some relating to the use of National Guard helicopters in searches conducted in Mesa County.

If they have a helicopter, that would be interesting. Not arguing with you.

Sorry, no helicopter, but I know they have a single prop though. My x-wife had refuled it, and they have let it sit in her old employer's hanger. The only helicopter we had there was the flight for life.

Good to know! That plane also isn't on their budget, so I wonder if it is a privately owned plane lent to them on occasion or owned by an officer who lends it to the department.
