I asked the guy who rides in the middle of traffic why he does it and he said he was tired of the dumb shits who "try to scare him" so now he just rides in the middle. He says that is the main reason why most of the guys he rides with do it also. I thought that was interesting, the dipshits that do the stupid things have caused the whole "taking up the whole lane" delima, at least in this instance.

As far as all of this goes, just because you don't like what someone is doing (especially if it isn't hurting anyone), doesn't give you the right to be a dipshit and pull a juvenile move to piss them off. I'm sure you also do things that piss people off and would be pretty angry if some asshole randomly came up to you and did something just to piss you off because of it.
Hence why I am usually pretty courteous to cyclists... guess it goes back to what my parents taught me growing up- the golden rule. Somehow I don't think a lot of people caught on to that sentiment.

Low drag- I understand that some drivers are assholes to cyclists... the point I'm advocating is that two wrongs don't make a right. If a cyclist decides to hog the road and be a douche because they were wronged by a couple asshole drivers, they are a dick and I feel no sympathy when they are buzzed, honked at, or get yelled at. I find myself constantly yelling out the window to bikers "Share the road goes both ways!" Sure I get the finger from time to time, but I just ignore and rest easy in the fact that I let them know that they're not the only ones who use the road.
Ditto, just because some other cyclist is an asshat does not give anyone the right to intimidate/threaten me with a 2 to 4 thousand lb vehicle at 50 mph, or push me off the road, or throw things at me as they pass, or drive past me and take a hard right with no signal light and on and on and on.

As we've both said, it all cuts both ways. Just like CCW permits.

Wow autocorrect, that's lame. I use Safari for some stuff and haven't noticed this, but I'm mostly using it to check that pages render OK in it.

On Friday afternoon I went for a run on my lunch break. At the end of my 2 mile run, right when I was almost back to work, some F'n idiot in a white diesel truck floored it past me and did the EXACT same thing. I was running on the sidewalk, not on a bicycle, not interrupting his life in any way. I just stopped and ran in place while the air cleared, because there was NO way in hell I was going to run through that cloud. I wish he would have gotten out of his truck. F'n asshole.

I cant stand bicyclists in the mountains or nasty diesels! I cant stand the smell of them or the sound especially the dodges they sound like shit. I do like seeing them at the gas station and emission station paying more I grew up in a family of truck drivers and can appreciate diesels for that reason but just to drive around town makes no sense.

I think deisels are ok if it is a TDI (volkswagon, audi ect) or something that is tuned and doesn't blow all of that black shit. Most think it is cool that their truck blows black exaust, however all they are doing is simply showing off how ineffecient their trucks are.

Better than average, but it was a Dodge, so they would be small.

Well I did Mt Evans last Sunday and rode in CO Springs Saturday. No need to show anyone the J frame. So I guess it was a good couple of days.

I'm off to Boulder, Hygene, Loveland/Carter Lake tomorrow. Lets see if the J frame needs to come out tomorrow.......
