20 years ago a new KW with a Detroit series 60 averaged 12 mpg, and went over 600k miles before needing major engine work. Today's EPA "clean" diesel only manages 7mpg, tops, and requires 2x the maintenance.

You have to see the truck in person, the pics don't really do it justice. I'll see if I can find a pic of the entire thing and the interior. The interior was jaw-dropping.
