Currently I have a Daniel Defense LPK in my build. I recently tried out a DPMS kit that I was not wild about. It worked just fine though, just a few small differences.
I have a RRA LPK in my AR. It fits well and the trigger is crisp for stock.
I have used dpms and rra both, as well as just buying loose parts here and there and throwing a lower together, I've never had problems with any of them.
I've got a stag LPK in mine.
everything is there, and it works fine.
When I got it there was actually a few extra springs and detents to replace the ones that turn into dangerous flying objects.(takedown pin detents anyone?)
hope this helps,
Kenny
I have run Stag, DPMS, Spikes, and Daniel Defense. They all have everything you need. I prefer the Daniel Defense myself. They are all perfectly serviceable but I just like the quality on the trigger, hammer, disconnector, and safety selector on the DD kits. If you are going to upgrade the trigger assembly anyways then the DPMS kit should work just fine. Also, the DD kit comes with the Magpul MOE trigger guard instead of the stock type. Since I run the MOE trigger guard on all my rifles anyways, this is just a nice little bonus for me.
I purchased a DPMS kit for my DMPS lower but eventually used only a few small bits after substituting a Canjar trigger unit and KNS pins.
My DPMS bolt stop isn't doing the job, so I'll replace it with a piece from someone else.
Bottom line: I can't endorse the DPMS lower parts kit.
so far I'm 3 for 3 using dpms lpk
I use Daniel Defense LPK's in all my buils for my personal rifles, as well as those I build for my customers. The fit and finish is much better that DPMS, ect. Definatly don't use a Delton, PSA, or cheaper kit. There really is a difference.
