Also need to mention how easy identity theft is... Car registration, insurance, etc. Lots of thirds these days are plugged in... A broken into car isn't always about a fancy stereo.

yep my wife and her co-worker/friend were at the park walking their dogs off 104th near highway 85. parked right off 104th in the parking lot, middle of the day, lots of people around. windows up, purses left in the car but they covered them up.

someone broke the rear window, stole the friends purse, left my wifes even though it was in the front seat.

within 30 minutes they had filled 2 vehicles, bought 2 $500 gift cards at walgreens, 1 $300 gift card and were gone (2 stores). they must have known the stores because they parked away from any cameras to avoid plates.

they got face shots of the people but the cops have done nothing for them and said they really couldn't do much for them.
The friend called the card companies right away and got everything cancelled but in that short time they did some quick damage but the CC company covered it all. Just sucks because she lost all her stuff, recently married and had a few gift cards left over for places to buy wedding gifts and then had to replace the window on top of it.

biggest thing that blows my mind is that walgreens corporate policy says no purchases over $300 without ID, her CC said "see ID" on it, and the same card was used almost back to back at the same store, then again at another one.

even locking up wont stop a thief....couple of years ago someone broke into my house while me and my fat fuck dog slept through it.....broke in through a locked garage door window then through a locked door into the kitchen....stole a laptop camera etc....more recently our shop has had 4 SECURITY CAMERAS stolen over the last couple of months....who does that????
