Palin's not my first choice (actually not any of my choices) but I don't think she is the dumb twit that she was portrayed as. The left media steamrolled her because she was a major hiccup in their plan to crown Obama as king (and Lord and Savior). I watched the documentary (done BY A DEMOCRAT by the way) and found it interesting, but it also confirmed that while she's not as dumb as a box of rocks I don't think she's the person to have at the helm either.

Would we be better off with Palin instead of Obama? I think it would be different but bad in different ways. Depends on which devil you want. Obama seems dead set on destroying our country through terrible economic decisions, while Palin I think would be more passive and probably struggle to make the tough decisions.

Obama is a post turtle, plain and simple. Palin is a post turtle. McCain is a twit. Bush was NOT a great president but made some good decisions. Believe me, I wish we could have OUR Clinton (popular, charismatic, seemingly intelligent - but he was also a post turtle), but the playing field is narrowed by what I would consider to be whackjobs like Ron Paul.

Ron Paul could never get elected because he is an absolutist lock-step Libertarian. It has nothing to do with the right wing or Republicans. He can't raise enough money to be recognized on the national scene.

I like Palin; she stands for everything the left is against. The media and the left were scared of her so they made her out to be some hick from the back woods Alaska. Worked for nynco and all the other sheep!

Most Americans are center right, so it amazes me that we are in the position we are right now. I bet more of us wish we would have turned out to vote (I damn sure did).

Thank you! Someone else who sees the good in Palin. To me she's an all fronts assault on the left, pro gun, pro family, anti-big gov, pro small business and not to mention not bad on the eyes either! I turned out to vote, but so many I know back in '08 were just so displeased with the choices that they just said "fuck it" and didn't vote. Really, when it comes down to it, I don't care what people say, McCain would have been the much better choice... too bad so much of America had blinders on (and still do).

I don't like Palin. Where did she come from? Why was she picked? Her and others are the reason we need to get away from the two party system. Every election is like giving your self an enema of hot sauce or grapefruit juice and seeing which hurts more. Limiting our selves to two candidates hurts our country. It always turns into a who likes/dislikes guns, I believe/do not believe in god, or insert other frivolous argument here.

For once I want a candidate to have ended these pointless wars, and education the top of their priorities.

Sorry pal- it's a 2-party system. The only thing a 3-party system would do is divide the right, as the left is united on their path. Thus we would simply guarantee continued leftist gov't into the distant future.

i disagree with the notion that the nation is mostly center right. I think people say that because its the in thing to say. But when you ask people on the issues, they trend more to the left.

Palin is a quitter and anyone who takes her serious sees what they want to see in her, not what she is. She is nothing but an attention whore who shirked her duties as the elected gov on Alaska so that she could make money. Hardly a leader we need.

Is Ron Paul a rigid ideologue? I have to agree. But I see most all of the modern right wing as that. History and facts take back seat to theories. Like the theory of supply side economics. How many times do we have to try that and see it fail before peoples ideology changes?

Man (nynco) you are talking about your own side- you're looking in a mirror- where socialist and marxist theory trump the fact that it simply doesn't work.

I agree with Jordan as far as education is concerned, but not rain forest math- or economics taught only from the left by elitist far left ideologues.
